1. Scope and Responsibility

These standards apply to all users and all content on the Karamellr app, website, and related services.

2. Explicit Prohibition of CSAE

Karamellr has a zero-tolerance policy towards Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE), including but not limited to:

  • Creation, sharing, requesting, uploading, forwarding, or distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
  • Grooming, sexualisation, or exploitation of minors in any form
  • Sexual communication directed at minors
  • Any content that depicts, promotes, encourages, or normalizes the sexual abuse of children
  • Attempts to contact, manipulate, threaten, or coerce minors for sexual or exploitative purposes

Users must not upload, send, request, store, forward, promote, or otherwise engage in any activities involving minors in a sexual, exploitative, abusive, or harmful manner.

Such behaviour is a serious violation of these standards and our Terms of Service and may also constitute a criminal offense.

3. Minimum Age and Minor Safety

Karamellr is intended for users who meet the minimum age required to use the app. Users must not create an account if they are under the required age.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts if we become aware that a user is underage, has provided false age information, or is using the service in a way that may endanger minors.

4. How We Handle Reports of CSAE

If Karamellr becomes aware of CSAM or CSAE, we will:

  1. Immediately review and restrict access to the reported content where technically possible,
  2. Disable, suspend, or permanently terminate accounts that are involved in CSAE or that repeatedly violate these standards,
  3. Preserve relevant information where necessary and legally permitted for investigation, safety, or legal compliance, and
  4. Report the incident and relevant information to law enforcement, child protection authorities, or other competent organizations where legally required or appropriate.

We reserve the right to preserve and share data that is necessary to investigate, prevent, report, and prosecute child sexual abuse and exploitation, in accordance with applicable laws.

5. How to Report Child Safety Concerns

If you encounter or suspect content involving child sexual abuse or exploitation on Karamellr, please report it immediately.

Please include as much detail as possible, such as time, user profiles, usernames, chat context, screenshots where legally appropriate, and any other information that may help us act quickly and effectively.

If a child is in immediate danger, please contact your local police or emergency services first, before or in addition to contacting Karamellr.

6. In-App Reporting and User Feedback

Karamellr provides users with ways to report problematic behaviour, suspicious profiles, abusive content, harassment, or child safety concerns.

  • Users can report profiles, messages, or suspicious behaviour through available in-app reporting or support options.
  • Users can contact support from within the app or by email.
  • We review incoming reports and take appropriate action in line with these Child Safety Standards, our Terms of Service, and applicable law.

7. Moderation and Enforcement

Karamellr may use manual review, technical tools, user reports, and safety processes to detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, including CSAE-related risks.

Depending on the severity of the case, enforcement actions may include:

  • removal or restriction of content,
  • temporary account restrictions,
  • permanent account termination,
  • blocking access to certain features,
  • preservation of relevant evidence where legally permitted, and
  • reporting to competent authorities where required or appropriate.

8. Legal Compliance

Karamellr is committed to complying with all applicable laws and regulations relating to child protection, online safety, and the handling of CSAM/CSAE.

Where required by law or appropriate for user safety, we cooperate with law enforcement, child protection organizations, competent authorities, and relevant hotlines to support the investigation and removal of child sexual abuse material.

9. Prevention and User Responsibility

All users are responsible for using Karamellr safely and lawfully. Users must not attempt to exploit, harm, manipulate, threaten, or sexually communicate with minors.

Users who become aware of child safety concerns should report them immediately through the channels described above.

10. Changes to These Standards

We may update these Child Safety Standards from time to time to reflect legal changes, industry best practices, app changes, or improvements in our safety processes.

The most recent version of these standards will always be available on this page. Material changes may be highlighted where appropriate.
